The very first of the Ernie Ball Musicman Stingrays from 1985. This bass was sold to us by the original owner who spent much time in the mid 80s searching for the perfect bass. An accomplished player he took this all over the world and made lots of great music on it. It’s all original and remains in very good condition, there is wear and cosmetic age-related marks but this is one of those instruments that was never destined to live in a case. Being a 1985 model, it has all the right spec, a 9.5 radius, slim vintage neck profile, old style logo and bullet truss rod. The playability of this is amazing and it’s easy to see why people make a bit of a fuss about these early editions. A stunning bass that will make the perfect tool for any bass player who is serious about making music.

Condition

Very good for a 39 year old bass. Has been used, gigged and toured with internationally by it's one owner. Lacquer checking and a few marks associated with use but in great shape and plays and sounds like a dream.
