We are delighted to get our hands on this very rare 70th Anniversary Broadcaster Relic which came to us as a barely used one owner guitar. The Broadcaster was the original name for the Telecaster but due to a legal issue over the name it was quickly removed by Fender (by simply cutting the name off the transfer, hence the ‘No-Casters’, before being renamed the Telecaster. Fender have pulled out all the stops for this limited-edition version. The Relic job is amazing, hugely authentic and the selected woods make for excellent resonance and tone. These birthday editions do always seem to be a nice notch better in quality over the normal Relics. The neck shape is slightly unusual, not as large as you might think for a 1950 edition. The compound radius makes for a very playable instrument. These very limited editions are topping the Fender price range before you start looking at Master built versions. At the time of listing new shop prices of similar limited editions is between £4500 and £5000.
