Description

A stunning Fender 57 AVRI Stratocaster from the very first few months of production of these amazing instruments. Gone are the days when these were seen simply as ‘any other American Vintage Strat’. It’s not unusual to see mint and cased examples of these fantastic Strats north of £3,000 and when you pick it up you can see why. Produced in the Fullerton Factory by many of the same hands who made the originals in the 50s and early 60s. This example is in fine condition and has all original parts but was re painted some years ago in Daphne Blue. It has he very sought after red bottom pickups, no retro routes and all original hardware. The frets are original, dressed and it’s been nicely set up. There is a lovely resonance from this guitar, it’s clear that the woods were selected for weight and resonance. Unlike an original 57 the neck is quite slim, it plays very well and sounds awesome. A truly collectible guitar priced to reflect the retro paint job that took place later in it’s life. The refin is professional and looks extremely good, done long enough ago now to match the checking and patina of the neck. All finished in lovely thin cellulose.
