Description

This is one of the very very early American Standard Strats that came from the newly reformed Fender company in the 80s. It’s clear that they were keen to make a real impression with these early USA Standards and this example is really good. It has a few little knocks and dinks but remains in excellent overall condition. The playabilty is really top end, it feels like a much more expensive guitar the minute you pick it up and start playing it. The original back plate has been lost, as has the trem arm. A compatible replacement arm will be provided. The frets have plenty of life left in them, it’s clear that this guitar hasn’t had a great deal of use over the years. A stunning guitar from an important time in Fenders history. Today a new USA standard equivelent will cost well in excess of £1200 depending on the dealer. These very early Corona models are starting to gain mild collectibilty status now, but in it’s own right it’s a fantastic instrument!
