This guitar is a stunning example of these great instruments, light, woody, with plenty of snappy tone and amazing rock sounds. It feels super comfy to play with it’s slim neck and worn in, but not abused feel. This example is in excellent ‘players grade’ condition having had the pickups replaced at some stage in it’s lifetime. We’ve had a set of Mojo hand wound pickups installed, which are superb and sound lovely. The guitar has also been refretted and thus has plenty of life left in them. There are no breaks or severe damage anywhere, only the usual playing marks, buckle rash and wear that you would expect to see on a guitar form the early 70s that has been well played and well looked after. There is certainly something about these old Gibsons that you just can’t get from newer re issues.
