A stunning USA made Guild acoustic from 1997 presented in original case with manual and key. An absolutely stunning sound from this one. Lovely to play and listen to. This example remains in extremely tidy condition and has been restrung with 11 – 52 strings and has had a brand new battery fitted. The frets have plenty of life left and have been polished to a good shine. A truly high quality instrument.
The mahogany neck has a medium D shaped profile with good shoulder and a fairly slender overall depth. The thick slab ebony fretboard features near mint fretwire and understated dot inlay. The scale length measures 25.6″ and the nut is a full 1 11/16″ in width. On the headstock, the guitar is fitted with original gold Grover Rotomatic tuning machines.
The body boasts an ebony bridge with plenty of saddle height, and the soundhole has an abalone rosette. Visible through the soundhole, the original Guild label has handwritten model and serial number information, noting the guitar’s Westerly, RI construction. The original satin finish on the body is nigh flawless, with only a few pick marks on the pickguard and no other wear of note.
The original hardshell case and Guild manual are included.
