Guitar Description

Very unusual to come across these, a 2004 limited edition 50th Anniversary 1954 Strat by founding master builder Mark Kendrick. Even back in 2004 these were extremely sought after and expensive guitars. Produced in very limited numbers and built to an exacting standard. The Fender Custom Shop pulled out all the stops to get this right with almost all the details given full attention. What's amazing about this edition is the attention to detail given to every part, from the knobs, switch tip, Pat Pend saddles (not something Fender had in their general parts bin at the time) and the look and finish of the logo, and then right down to the sanding and rounding on the headstock and neck heel! Everything about this guitar is right! The way this thing plays is dream like, smooth and silky and with a springy punchy resonance and a classic sound. This one comes presented in the original form fit case with all the essential case candy and letters from Fender discussing its authenticity. It is hard to believe this guitar is almost two decades old. It has been played and used and has a few small marks and chips in the lovely thin lacquer, but remains in overall amazing condition and is truly a collectors and player’s contender. Only set to rise in value.

Guitar Condition

Overall very very clean. All stock and original aside from replacement switch (original included). Some solder is non original as a result of switch change. Some small marks on body from general use, has been played. Plenty of fret life left.
