Our Mission
At Coffee House Guitars, our mission is simple: to offer a curated selection of guitars that look, feel and sound exceptional. We focus on quality over quantity, only stocking instruments we’d be proud to play ourselves. Every guitar that leaves our shop has been set up to perform at its best, whether it’s heading into a studio, onto a stage, or into someone’s living room.
We believe buying a guitar should be as enjoyable as playing one. That’s why we’ve created a relaxed, coffee shop-style environment where you can take your time, plug in, and really get to know the instrument. Whether you’re visiting in person or buying from a distance, we’re here to make the experience smooth, honest and personal, the way it should be.
The Founder
Coffee House Guitars is owned and run by Julian Deverell who’s been playing, buying, selling and collecting guitars since the 1990s. The business is run in the same warehouse as Julian’s main business, The Regency Chess Company which he established over ten years ago.
Julian has owned hundreds of guitars over the years and has extensive knowledge of Fenders. He’s also passionate about high end guitars and getting them in optimum condition, set up and at their best.
Do we have Amplifiers?
We don’t sell used amplifiers, but we have a couple of high-end valve amplifiers on site so you can test your purchase through something that sounds incredible: a modern Fender Super-Sonic and a 1960s Fender Pro Reverb. This is available to buyers who visit our showroom, but also available in video format upon request to online purchases.
Guitar Set Ups?
Before we offer a guitar for sale we will always ensure it’s playing at its absolute optimum. We send all our guitars to a semi retired luthier who we know very well. He understands what we need in terms of a perfect set up and because he doesn’t have a huge work load is able to put the time, love and care into ensuring our guitars are well looked after. It’s important for us to know that when we send a guitar out, it’s ready to rock straight out the box.

All the guitars we sell come with a six month warranty against defects and faults. If you purchase a guitar from us and a fault develops that isn’t related to deliberate damage or customisation we will get the guitar repaired as necessary, free of cost.

If you’re too far away to visit the shop and wish to buy a guitar and have it shipped via a secure insured courier, we can arrange this quickly and easily. We will use UPS or DPD and send the guitar on receipt of cleared funds.
