Fender Custom Shop Statocaster 1967 Reissue (1995)

A rare and unusual Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster that's almost three decades old. In 1995 this was a reissue of a 67 Strat, 28 years in the past. It is now 29 years old itself! It was bought in Japan by the original owner and still retains much of the Japanese paperwork as well as the American literature and brochure. A lovely looking Hendrix era reissue with the large headstock and mid - late 60s logo. In the mid 1990s The Fender Custom Shop were not producing large quantities of these superb instruments and it's unusual for us to come across them. This lovely guitar has been played and although it has a few scars from the last three decades it remains in very good overall condition. Some natural aging and checking of the lacquer is present as one would expect. It is all original and still has the original vintage style frets. They are level and polished. A superb quality instrument from a very interesting time in the Custom Shops history.
