Guitar Description

The perfect Strat for the Clapton fans who don’t want the signature model. This lovely 1957 Closet Classic Strat from 2014 encapsulates the ‘Blackie’ look perfectly while remaining traditional and true to a 1957 model. Once we’d got this one in and had it set up it sprung to life as one of those exceptional guitars. Made in 60th year of the Strat at the same time the Custom Shop were doing the 60th Anniversary 1954 models which are arguably some of the best guitars they ever made. This one smacks of a great era in the Custom Shops production standard. It’s very light at under seven pounds! It Features signed hand wound pickups (one Abbey, two Josephina). The finish is very nicely checked and looks very authentic without any heavier relic work. A lovely guitar that we’d be happy to add to the personal collection if it wasn’t already stacked!

Guitar Condition

Very good. Frets are full of life, not been used much. Paint chip near to neck pocket area but otherwise in excellent condition. All stock and very tidy overall.
