Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster 1965 Relic

An absolutely beautiful Strat from the custom shop in 2019! Fairly unusual to come across these 65 Relics and this one is a stunner. A lovely three tone sunburst finish and gorgeous dark rosewood board and a medium level of Relic. This example has the vintage correct 7.25 radius and also has the Sanko 6105 fret wire. With the 65 C neck this feels very comfy. We have given this guitar a very accurate fret level, dress and set up. The frets were not worn, but were not 100% perfect in terms of level and we generally find that with these 7.25 radius boards there is less tolerance for any set up errors so we've made a special effort to get this one bang on. The action is 1.5 mm at fret 12 on both E strings and bends are free of choking. A great guitar to play and the sound from the 65 hand wound pickups is incredible, a classic sound with a lovely vintage vibe and lovely rock tones. Overall this is a lovely instrument with a huge level of period correct detail that makes it look almost identical to a genuine 65 Strat. Supplied with all the original case candy and in top condition. One of the things I love about this is the finish, the Relic is extremely authentic and much of the gloss of the finish on the body has been authentically dulled down.
