Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster 69 Custom Heavy Relic

I originally purchased this guitar back in 2018 and couldn't bear to part with it because it was so nice and just so good. Since then it's been in the ownership of myself and my guitar tech but due to an influx of other quite interesting stock I have finally decided to part with it. Dating from 2007 this is a custom order Relic Stratocaster that is based on a 69 Strat but with features from different periods in Fenders early history. It's lovely and light, featuring an Ash body which has a lovely translucent blonde finish on it which has been very nicely aged at factory by the custom shop. What makes it unusual is that unlike a typical 69 Strat it was a green pickguard and fat 50s pickups, so a bit of a mash up of different eras. I am told by Fender (over email) that this was a custom order, hence why it is not a replica of any particular year. To say this Strat is amazing would be a massive understatement. It just has that lovely silky feel to the neck, the fingers glide over easily and it resonates really well. The original case ended up being sold with another guitar a while back (long story), so it's presented in a Fender hard case, albeit the slightly cheaper version than the usual G&G case that's present with Custom Shop guitars. It's worth checking out the traveller document for the comments listed on there, the best of which includes 'Beat the crap out of it'. All the case candy is there and the guitar is presented in lovely clean condition. Priced accordingly to condition and the fact that there's a replacement case. A true players guitar that just rocks! Will be sad to see it go!
