Fender Stratocaster Custom Shop 56 NOS / Closet classic Strat Ltd edition

A recent Fender Custom Shop Strat in an excellent spec. A master builder 'designed by' model (Dale Wilson) and an absolutely stunning guitar. Do check out the downloadable shop floor traveller for the full spec. The ash body is finished in a gorgeous bright Fiesta Red nitro that's thin enough to see some grain coming through. The traveller doc lists the finish as Closet Classic undercoat with NOS topcoat and no scuff of checking. So, the finish is thinner and more typical 50s than the usual NOS spec Strat. The neck is extremely playable, a Clapton 50s V neck with a super comfy 7.25 - 9.5 compound radius, it doesn't get much better. It features the locking vintage machine heads for extra tuning stability. These look almost the same as the slot head Klusons but have a turn able locking system that is a bit of a faff when changing strings but well worth it for the extra tuning stability and once you've got used to it, it's fine. The neck is a gorgeous AA flame maple, this guitar really is a thing of beauty. The sound from the HW fat 50s pickups is superb and the spec of this Strat makes it an absolute peach. We love it!
