Fender Stratocaster Custom Shop 59 NOS 2016 Sonic Blue Pre Owned

A very rare spec Fender Custom Shop early 59 NOS (New Old Stock) re issue Strat in stunning Sonic Blue. This example features a unique spec as ordered by the one original owner. He ordered it from Regent Sounds in London and specified the painted headstock, 7.25 radius, vintage frets, 59 ESQUIRE "C" neck shape and 59 pickups. The result is a superb guitar in excellent condition. A few marks on the nitro finish but generally extremely clean.

The issue with the guitar is that when the customer ordered it he specified gold hardware, unfortunately for some reason this was left off the order and the guitar was delivered with the standard silver nickel hardware. The supplying Fender dealer then removed all the hardware (except the neck plate) and replaced it with Genuine Fender gold plated hardware. This was done at the request of the somewhat disgruntled customer. He then had the neck plate gold plated to match.

He has been in contact with Fender UK and the supplying dealer and Fender issued a new shop floor traveller to reflect the dealer changes. We have copies of both as well as emails from Fender to him to confirm this. Of course none of these mods affect playability or tone atall. It's still a great guitar but due to this issues it is being offered for sale at a considerble discount. Usually a NOS Strat to this spec would be on the website for £2200 or more. But as always with Fender products, the value has been affected by the changes.

It is a stunning guitar with all genuine Fender parts on, just not the parts it left the factory with. Of course the body, neck, pickups, scratchplate all remain untouched and original. A chance to get a superb guitar for a bargain price.
