Gibson Les Paul Standard double cut 1998
Guitar Description
A late 1990s Gibson Les Paul double cutaway in amazing original condition. These fantastic instruments were produced for a limited period in the late 90s and early 2000s. Not something we commonly come across and seen as less desirable than a traditional Les Paul Standard. This is however an absolutely beautiful guitar in every way, the looks, playability and tone all far outstrip its price point. The sound while being quite unique sits somewhere between an SG and a Les Paul single cut. Just classic rock tones and when plugged into a distorted valve amp it does the business so well. We bought this from the original owner who had it as part of a large collection of guitars, so while it was played, it hasn't been played too much and remains in superb condition. It's light at 3.3 KG and has a lovely slim C neck. No longer made, but to buy a guitar of this quality today you'd expect to spend well over £2000.
