Guitar Description

We are very happy to get our hands on this Rickenbacker 4001 Bass in Burgundy Glow from 1980. This superb example remains in very original condition with a push pull pot for vintage/modern tone fitted, but aside from that is all stock. A classic bass with a magic tone and very lovely to play. This iconic bass was originally manufactured between 1961 and 1981 and has become synonymous with legendary players like Lemmy and Paul McCartney. It's easy to see why it was so favored. It's a dream to play and sounds lovely, this one has been nicely worn in and naturally aged while remaining in excellent condition for the year. A superb instrument that won't hang around long.

Guitar Condition

Very good overall for year. Some dings and dents associated with 40 years of life and use, no damage to wood, just laquer and paint. One extra hole for strap button repaired on upper horn (see images)
