Fender Custom Shop 54 60th Anniversary Stratocaster 2014 NOS

The 60th Anniversary 1954 Custom Shop Stratocasters are in our opinion some of the best guitars to ever come from the custom shop. They were a limited run in 2014 produced as extremely accurate replicas of the original 1954 Strat, the only non-authentic feature being the large frets and 9.5 radius (a must for most players these days). The vast majority of these were made in either sunbust or blonde heavy relic finish, with a very small quantity being made in NOS finish and in red. This lovely example was bought and owned by a collector of guitars who barely touched it. As a result, it's in virtually as new condition. Acquring this guitar was quite a surprise. It reminded me of when I was 8 years old collecting the 1986 editions of the Panini football stickers. Every day I'd spend ten pence on a packet of stickers hoping to complete the sticker book. The prized and rarest one was the Liverpool badge, shiny and very special looking. They were in very short supply and no one at school had ever seen one! I can remember it clearly all these years later, where I was walking when opening a pack of stickers I'd bought and saw it there among the six little stickers! The Liverpool badge! Ironically a week later I got it again! So had two of them! I seem to remember swapping the spare one for a massive handful of stickers! This guitar felt the same, at the time it arrived there was already it's identical twin on the wall. With it's one piece ash body, stunning maple neck and faultless creation, this is a wonderful instrument with amazing playability and sound. When released in 2014 these models were a significant jump up in price compared to the normal Relics.
