Fender Custom Shop 69 Heavy Relic Stratocaster Custom Order MVP edition

We are delighted to get our hands on this special edition MVP Strat, a very rare, limited edition. The MVP guitars have been custom ordered by select dealers, in this case Make'n Music in the USA. They commission unique spec models made with top end woods, lovely neck shapes and very cool finishes. This example is a 69 Strat with a lovely medium U shape neck which feels lovely to play with the narrow tall frets and 9.5 radius. Despite being a classic 69 four bolt configuration, it has the 70s style bullet truss rod (seldom seen on Custom Shop models) and Kluson style tuners. It's fair to say they have combined all the very best design appointments into one guitar. The finish is superb, very authentic and a very heavy Relic finish. This Strat is very Hendrix and has a winning formular of Hand wound 69s in the neck and middle position with a fat 50s in the bridge. This almost found its way into my personal collection. Being that these aren't sold new in the UK it’s unlikely we'll ever see another. Just one thing to note.... the floor traveller states that it's routed for humbuckers in the neck and bridge, this isn't the case. It's a standard SSS vintage route inside.
