Guitar Description

This is a lovely spec Heavy Relic Strat with some very cool specs. Based on a 61 Alder body vintage Statocaster this example has a lovely 65 C neck shape, heavily rolled fret board edges, Hand Wound Poblano pickups and a Black over Tan finish. A superb list of features that make this example very special. The Poblano pickups are hot and spicy and bring a new dimension to the traditional Strat tones. The finish is a very heavy relic so this Strat feels like a favourite pair of worn in jeans. It remains in superb condition and comes with all the original case candy. The original owner did replace the nut with a genuine fender bone nut in order to bring the top E string in very slightly (to prevent it slipping off the edge). A perfectly executed switch that was done by a professional guitar tech and allows for better playability. A Heavy Relic Strat with this spec today will cost in the region of £4500 new at the main UK based authorised Fender Dealers.
