Fender Jazz Bass 1982 - Ex Korgies - One owner vintage Fender
Guitar Description
This lovely Fender CBS era Jazz Bass was purchased from it's original owner, James Warren from the band The Korgies. James is a good friend of a regular customer of ours and The Korgies are a local band to us. He bought this new in the early 1980s and can be seen on various live performances playing it. Although the serial number is an S8, suggesting 1978 it's got pot dates and a neck date of 1982. It wasn't unusual for Fender to carry these old serial numbers through into around 1983 at the time. As a bass it's a lovely example and it's little wonder he kept it all these years for performances and recordings. We have levelled the original frets and set it up nicely with new strings. It comes presented in a high quality Hiscox case. A photo of James with the guitar will be provided to the buyer.
In terms of originality. It's all stock aside from knobs (originals included) and James had put a different bridge on at some stage but the stock one is now back on. Aside from that it's unmodified.
