Fender Custom Shop 2014 Anniversary 1954 Stratocaster in the extremely rare NOS fiesta red finish. Typically every decade milestone of the 1954 birth year of the Strat the Custom Shop make an Annivsersary limited edition 1954 re issue. For the 60th they by far made the best version yet. They have pulled out all the stops to make this authentic, resonant, super high quality and an absolute joy to play. Almost every detail is true to a real 54 strat, aside of course, from the 9.5 radius and larger frets (to allow for a more comfortable and higher peformance feel). Particular care has been taken with these models, they just have a magic that you won't find in the run of the mill Fender Relics. This one owner example is in near mint condition with the original case and all the candy. When sold new these models were priced well above the standard Relics of the time. Exceeding £3000 in the UK (back in 2014). Most of them were heavy Relic sunburst finishes but a very small number of NOS ones were also made, and a tiny number in red. A stunning guitar that plays and sounds superb. These 54 2014 Editions really do need to be played to be appreciated. They are without doubt some of the best Stratocasters the custom shop has made.
