Fender Stratocaster Custom Shop 55 Journeyman Relic

This stunning Custom Shop Strat from 2016 is another example of the amazing Custom Shop Quality. An extremely authentic feeling model, with period correct Large C shape neck (medium chunky), ash body and hand wound Loretta Diaz Fender Custom Shop pickups. This one has a stunning paint job with very realistic relic work and lacquer checking throughout. All original and in excellent condition, we have had this one set up with level frets and a beautiful crown and polish job. It plays superbly as a result. The sound from the hand wound pickups is as you would expect, it's oozing vintage tone and feel. The chunky rift sawn maple neck adds to that extremely resonant tone. I always love to hear how these sounds acoustically before plugging them in, and this one has a vibrant sound and energy. Needless to say, in this classic 50s colour it looks the part. A stunning guitar that needs to be played (a lot), loved, worn in and then worn out. Today in the UK Custom Shop Relic Stratocasters are retailing upwards of £3500 and close to £4k in some cases. New stock remains low due to high demand, increased import costs and lockdowns.
