Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul 1958 R8 Reissue Flame

We recently bought this guitar from Bob Shearn, a local pro guitar player and teacher who originally bought this guitar for a Peter Green project. Bob is a superb blues / rock player and seriously knows his guitars! He fell in love with this the moment he played it and I can see why. The playability, feel and sound of this Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul is incredible, amazing rock tones and it just feels right. The model is a LPR8 F, the F denotes 'Flame'. The top on this one is stunning with a subtle flame that while isn't as deep and pronounced as a 59 still looks lovely. This is one of those guitars that was just too good to spent it's life in the case so has seen some action and has played some searing blues licks. It does however remain is excellent condition for it's age. A gorgeous guitar that really is one of the good ones. We'll be sad when this one goes.
