Mosrite Avenger - Early 70s Made in Japan
Guitar Description
A Mosrite Avenger, built in Japan during the early 1970s as a tribute to the famous Mosrite Ventures model. While not a U.S.-made Mosrite, the Avenger captures much of the look and feel that made the original so iconic — from the offset double-cutaway body and slim neck profile to the roller bridge and Bigsby-style tremolo system.
Fitted with two Mosrite-style single-coil pickups, it delivers bright, punchy tones that are perfect for surf, garage, and early punk sounds. The rosewood fingerboard (approx. 12″ radius) is comfortable and fast, while the sunburst finish adds classic vintage appeal. This example remains in a well used but good condition and is very playable and has that classic vintage hip sound.
Affordable, quirky, and packed with retro character, the Avenger has become a collectible in its own right — a genuine piece of early ’70s Japanese guitar history.
