We have officially ceased trading.

Coffee House Guitars has now ceased trading. The business was always run as a side line and has had a few great years. However, the recent downturn in the premium guitar market has meant that trading has become slow, very difficult and far less fun than it used to be.

As a result, I took a pragmatic decision to liquidate the business and move the capital into what I feel will be a better investment going forward. The business was always solvent and profitable and had no debts, so it was an easy choice to make.

My feeling is that, like many retail sectors, the guitar retail business will remain in a slump for the foreseeable future and the terrible state of the UK economy will only get worse in the short to medium term.

I’d like to thank all of my past customers; you have been great and I hope you’ve all had fun and made music with the amazing instruments I’ve sold to you.

Who knows, if the market comes back, I might return but for now it’s goodbye.
