This lovely guitar was quite a find. A late 1993/ early 1994 Fender Custom Shop 1960s reissue Stratocaster. This lovely example remains in amazingly clean condition considering it’s now three decades old. It’s very unusual to come across these very early Custom Shop reissues and quite interesting to see how different they are to the current offerings from Fender. This one features a hugely playable neck with a 9.5 radius, lovely dark rosewood and a lovely three tone sunburst finish. It features a catalyzed urethane finish which is how the Custom Shop did these at the time rather than using purely nitro finishes. The neck has some lovely Birdseye figuring on it, in fact it’s not unusual to see some really top end woods being used during this era. A lovely piece of custom shop history and a stunning guitar. Very authentic and a top end Strat. The original certificate was lost but a new one obtained recently. This can only be done with extensive authentication from a Fender dealer. It is therefore reassuring to know it’s been fully authenticated as genuine and stock.
