Fender Custom Shop Ltd Edition Twisted 52 Telecaster Relic – Pre Owned 2017

Another one that almost found its way into my personal collection! The Fender Custom Shop ‘Twisted Tele’, a unique and interesting spec 50s Telecaster limited edition. As with all Limited edition custom shops they seem to take a bit more care and there is something magical about them. This example features a Bigsby trem & reverse control panel, a set of hand wound twisted Tele pickups and a journeyman relic finish. Based on a 52 Tele it has that authentic 50s vibe to it, a fairly chunky soft V neck with a worn back finish, large frets and a 9.5 radius. An amazing specification! The acoustic sound of it is extremely resonant, alive and full of zing. Bigsby Tele’s have that unique tone that you can only get from a Bigsby Tele! This example remains in excellent condition; it’s been played but has very minimal fret wear. Tons of life left in the jumbo frets! There is one small corner of the scratch plate that’s missing (chipped off), just adds to the Relic look. A new white guard is included in the case but the stock one looks best and the missing piece just makes it look more authentic. The guitar is unmodified and factory stock, comes in the original case with the certificate, candy and traveler document. Today these Ltd edition Teles are upwards of £3500 new with some editions costing upwards of £4k at today’s prices.
