A 2011 pro cc Closet Classic Pine Telecaster in dirty blonde. This superb example features some excellent specifications, a large C neck shape, 22 frets, signed abbey pickups and a stunning light weight pine body that has excellent resonance. Fender did a limited run of these using 100 year old pine for the bodies, a tribute of sorts to the original broadcaster prototypes in the early 50s. It has a very vintage vibe but with some real players enhancements such as the 22 frets and very wide 6100 fretwire. It also features a Greasebucket tone circuit to allow you to roll off the highs without adding base. The guitar remains in excellent condition with plenty of fret life. The frets are level, dressed and polished and it’s playing like a dream. A really superb instrument. This one seems to have had some exra post factory Relic work done, although the Fender spec sheet does mention dings, a checked finish and oxidised parts, so it could be all factory Relic. It just seems a bit heavy for a ‘Closet Classic’. It comes in the original centre pocket case with the certificate and candy. A stunning guitar that sounds incredible and has tons of vintage vibe to it. Today special and limited custom shop guitars are retailing for well over £3000 in the UK and its not unusual to see some of the latest models attracting prices of over £4k!
