Description

This is a Jason Smith Masterbuilt 2007 Limited edition Stratocaster in a rare and incredible spec. The look of the guitar is very late 60s, large headstock, late 60s logo, four bolt neck and a lovely blonde finish. With it’s mint guard and modern locking machine heads it visually adds a nod to other eras of Fenders history and the two post modern trem makes this less of a reissue and more of a custom Strat in a spec that is perfect for the discerning player. The 65 C neck has a fast and comfortable feel to it, huge attention to detail has been paid to the rolled edges of the fret board and fret ends making it feel like silk to play. A great pickup combination of the 69s and the Texas special in the bridge position create classic Strat tones with a rocky vintage vibe. This Strat sounds incredible. The neck has a soft satin finish of very thin lacquer and the body has a semi aged closet classic finish with extensive checking but no heavy relic. This guitar will age very very nicely. Very unusual to see these 20th Anniversary editions around in this spec and especially as master build guitars.

Some lacquer removal at neck joint (shown in images) aside from that it's in fine condition with plenty of fret life left.
