Fender Stratocaster Custom Shop Masterbuild (Yuriy Shishkov) 56 NOS hank Strat

Description

This has to be the ultimate Hank Marvin Strat! A 2008 Yuri Shishkov master built, custom order Strat which was ordered by a Shadows super fan in the same configuration as Hanks 1956 guitar. It is thought that Hank Marvin imported the very first Stratocaster in the UK in 1956. It was bought and paid for by Cliff Richard at the time and in interviews Hank said that they went through the Fender catalogue and chose the top spec Strat that was available at the time. This would be meant paying extra to upgrade to a custom colour (Fiesta Red) and gold plated hardware. There may have been other Strats in the UK at the time but it’s fair to say his would have been one of the very first ones to come here. This lovely example features a more modern 9.5 radius, larger frets and a more modern Hank preference, a carbon graphite nut to make things super playable and keep tuning stable. Visually the best bit about this instrument is the birds-eye grain on the neck which is simply stunning. Just looks amazing from every angle. The neck shape is a modern C and is fairly chunky. The playability and sound is as you’d expect from a Master Built Fender, totally awesome! This is a prized instrument here at Coffee House guitars and we are delighted to have it in stock. Condition is amazing aside from a couple of small dinks on the underside near the strap button but the overall impression is an ‘as new’ guitar. We have given it a full set up with fret level and crown and polish. It plays at it’s very best and with values of guitars doing what they are doing is certain to maintain and rise in value. Superb original condition. Couple of small chips near to the underside strap button that have been touched in by a former owner but aside from that it's almost mint.
