This very rare find is one of the international series Strats from the limited run they did in 1981 for a year. Fender decided to release a selection of bold colours in that year as a marketing exercise. These represented the very last of the three bolt neck, bullet truss rod Strats made by Fender in Fullerton. This one remains in totally stock condition with virtually no wear or marks aside from a small dink in the headstock (shown in photos) and a crack in the thick poly finish on the body. Like all late 70s / early 80s Strats it’s quite heavy and features the shallow body contours. While I have never been much of a fan of this era of Fender it is a very good instrument indeed and now we’ve had it properly set up plays very nicely. A rare and collectible guitar that’s from an interesting time in Fenders History. A great investment for sure and due to it’s amazing condition will only appreciate in value. Also a super cool looking guitar!
