A 1973 Fender Telecaster Deluxe that has been well played. An absolutely superb instrument with a true vintage vibe to it. As is so often the case, the best playing and sounding guitars are the ones that see the most action and wear. This example has been refretted sometime in it’s life. A good quality job and plenty of fret life left. The guitar features original neck, body, machines heads and bridge. The pickups are early 70s Fender Humbuckers from a Dlx Tele, but not this one. So althogh they are the ‘right’ pickups, they aren’t the ones it came out of the factory with. There have been some extra holes drilled for replacament machine heads at some stage, you can just see these when looking at the machine heads closely. Also, some extra holes (now filled) where alternate string trees were fitted. The original cast bridge has been drilled for a new trem arm due to the original one snapping in the block. All of the important bits are true and original and the overall sound and playability of the guitar is spot on. A great guitar, truly a players instrument that needs to be enjoyed. Typically in todays market a clean all original one of these would fetch £2500 – £3000 depending on the source. Priced at a very modest players grade list.
